Promedia’s executive leadership team has a wealth of experience in the IT field, helping education institutions, businesses, and state & local government develop their technology strategies for large parts of the last two decades.
Joe Ewart built New Era Technology, Promedia’s parent company, and continues to lead the expansion of the business into international markets around the world.
He has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Editure Group, a global education technology company. Before that, he was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs Australia, a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank Securities, a Principal at BT Wolfensohn and a Vice President at Bankers Trust and started his career at Arthur Andersen.
He holds a Bachelors degree from the Sydney University, Masters degree from University of New South Wales University and a graduate diploma in applied finance. He is a Fellow of FINSIA, a Chartered Accountant and a director of the Editure Group.

Gene currently serves as CEO of Promedia-New Era. A seasoned executive with more than 25 years in the field of technology, Gene leads a highly strategic organization with certified account executives and vast technical resources. Gene supports Promedia’s industry leadership through strategic relationships with partners like Cisco, Apple, and VMware, enabling our clients to leverage best in class technology solutions to fulfill their educational and business needs.
Gene joined Promedia in 1995 after nearly a decade working as an Apple Education Sales Executive and a Network Integration Account Executive for various organizations. As CEO, Gene has led the organization by championing a solution driven business model, positioning Promedia as a regional expert and valued partner.
Under Gene’s leadership, Promedia’s solution driven philosophy has received numerous accolades such as Partner of the Year awards from Cisco, VMware, and Ingram Micro. Gene has also served on nationwide advisory councils to both Cisco and Ingram Micro.
Gene received a B.S. Degree with a Minor in Business Administration from William Paterson University in New Jersey.

Paul graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Engineering Technology. After several years as a construction engineer working on major railroad and re-electrification projects in New York City, Paul joined Promedia to facilitate its successful re-organization project. In 1995 Paul became a partner at Promedia and was instrumental in building the small company into a thriving business recognized as an IT solutions leader, serving the needs of school districts, government organizations, and businesses across New Jersey.
Paul currently oversees the cabling, project management, human resources, accounting and contractual/legal departments.

Paul joined Promedia-New Era in October 2016, bringing 30+ years of experience in the field of technology integration with him. Prior to coming onboard at Promedia-New Era, Paul held a variety of roles with industry leaders such as Cisco, HP, and IBM. Paul leads the vision for the company’s solution design and delivery strategy from foundation to implementation, drawing on a wealth of experience and knowledge of the industry to ensure the Promedia-New Era is constantly on the cutting edge, ready to deliver high performance solutions to our clients.

Coming from corporate business and the people operations field, Jessica joined Promedia as the Human Resource Manager. Quickly showing her aptitude for strategic and operational goal setting and successfully implementing key operational strategies, Jessica was promoted to Director of Operations and now serves as Senior Vice President.
As SVP, Jessica is responsible for the continued day-to-day operations of the business. She works across all departments to develop processes, strategy, and ideas that bring value to Promedia’s customers and employees.

After 12 years in the field of corporate and commercial information technology,
Dan Burger joined Promedia as a Systems Engineer focusing on Apple technologies in 2004. Since that time Dan has served various roles in the company, building solutions-oriented practices that use technology to impact the core objectives of Promedia’s customers.
As Director of Market Development, Dan leads a team building partnerships with manufacturers and distributors who help enable Promedia to provide results-oriented solutions to customers.
With a special passion for technology in education, Dan spearheads Promedia’s 21st Century Learning initiatives. He works with thought leaders in education to build solutions leveraging technology to empower educators to engage students in new ways to build lifelong learners.
Dan studied Computer Science and Business Administration at Grace College in Indiana and the University of Akron in Ohio.
